Allison Fisher, M.A., LPC

Allison Fisher is a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience in the counseling field and nearly two decades of experience in ministry. Allison recognizes that, in life, relationships build us and break us. Relationships with our family of origin, our relationship with self, and relationships with those closest to us in adulthood each have tremendous impact on us. Allison is passionate about partnering with people to do deep and important work, helping them to develop new awareness and skills with which to more effectively understand and operate within their various relationships, and enabling them to experience real healing.

Allison’s areas of specialty are marriage and family relationships, trauma, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and spiritual hurt. She utilizes practical and evidence-based clinical interventions integrated with a Christ-centered perspective in her counseling approach.

Allison holds a M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She and her husband have been married for 23 years, and live in Alabama, where they have raised their two sons. Her family has recently gained a daughter, through their oldest son’s marriage. She is currently navigating life with her husband and their adult children.

** Relational or personal sessions are different from counseling in that the focus is to facilitate personal and relational development, not to treat psychopathology. These one-on-one sessions are designed to uncover current problem spots and help you thrive in your personal and relational life. If at any time a counselor determines that these one-on-one sessions are not the right fit (e.g. there is evidence of psychopathology and the need for therapeutic support), they will help connect you to a licensed therapist within your state to offer the services you need, either in place of our work or in addition to our work. These one-on-one sessions are not intended to diagnose or treat mental illness or replace professional counseling services by a licensed individual within your state. Thanks for understanding, and we are looking forward to working with you!
