Shelley Spence, M.Ed., LPC-MHSP, RPT

Shelley is a licensed counselor and Christian life coach who’s passionate about helping people overcome whatever’s holding them back or keeping them stuck as they navigate life’s challenges. With 20 years of experience, she continues to expand her toolkit with specialized training in trauma, parent-child relational strategies, and healing prayer, to provide you with Christ-centered evidence-based support tailored to your unique needs.
Many of her clients come feeling stuck in patterns of stress, overwhelm, or relationship difficulties that they can’t seem to break on their own. Shelley’s warm, collaborative style helps you identify the root causes of these challenges and develop practical strategies that lead to lasting change and transformation.
Working together, Shelley’s clients often find they can:
  • Understand their emotions and find joy in life
  • Learn tools and strategies to cope with stress & anxiety… and experience calm
  • Navigate relationships with better communication and less conflict
  • Walk through life transitions and changes with greater clarity and purpose
  • Reconnect with God and experience peace
Shelley is married to a youth pastor, has two young adult children (and a new son-in-law), and has experienced the joys and challenges of family and ministry life first hand. Outside the consultation/coaching space, you’ll find her mentoring teens at her church, enjoying chats over chai tea lattes, and gathering people around her table, as she deeply values presence and connection.

** Relational or personal sessions are different from counseling in that the focus is to facilitate personal and relational development, not to treat psychopathology. These one-on-one sessions are designed to uncover current problem spots and help you thrive in your personal and relational life. If at any time a counselor determines that these one-on-one sessions are not the right fit (e.g. there is evidence of psychopathology and the need for therapeutic support), they will help connect you to a licensed therapist within your state to offer the services you need, either in place of our work or in addition to our work. These one-on-one sessions are not intended to diagnose or treat mental illness or replace professional counseling services by a licensed individual within your state. Thanks for understanding, and we are looking forward to working with you!
